Summary

One big idea or question that the poem "The Soul Selects Her Own Society" by Emily Dickinson made me think about is solitude. I think there are pros and cons to living a solitary life. Living a life in solitude makes us independent and self-reliant, where we are true to ourselves and to those in our inner circle. On the other hand, by rejecting the outside world, we may limit our exposure to new experiences and relationships, and miss out on opportunities to learn, grow, and engage.
