My name is Saaidah Omar. I am 20 years old and currently study sustainable urban agriculture at LaGuardia. I have always had a passion for the environment, gardening, and being in nature- so naturally sustainable agriculture seemed to be the best choice for me. I have not yet decided what to do with my degree, but I love what I study and hope to find the right career as I dive further into the field. I definitely plan to transfer to a four year college after LaGuardia to broaden my horizons and introduce myself to new majors within the environmental science branch. Outside of school, I love reading- from philosophy, to poetry, to fiction novels. I love exploring new places from cities, to parks and forests, and trying new foods everywhere I go. I am not the most experienced chef, but I love to cook and try out new recipes every day.

I look forward to reading different texts, and getting to know each of my classmates this semester.
