themes of servitude and freedom
Both Ariel and Caliban yearn for the same thing, but each has a different view of their situation. Ariel’s hope and Caliban’s resentment show their distinct attitude toward Prospero’s authority. If Ariel’s servitude is fueled by loyalty and hopes to have freedom, then Caliban’s service displays the anger and frustration of captivity. Shakespeare shows the complicated experience because of the different outlooks that these two characters have on concepts of freedom and servitude.

Shakespeare’s The Tempest
the author showcases the sign of a storm as a natural and social issue occurring in the background. The Tempest shows the disputes happening around political power and authority. it emphasizes that regardless of any power, one is useless against a natural cause. This sets the main cause for searching the power dynamics that run throughout the play, as Prospero’s manipulation of the storm tries to show power over the people and the nature around them.

In the poem ‘Crossing Brooklyn Ferry’ the writing is explaining his idea of having a connection between individuals and the masses of commuters. Although the time and space may have been different but experiences that we all people go through and the surroundings we are in link us all. And his stanzas of the poem, It avails not, time nor place—distance avails not; shows that that case which I also totally believe is a good case as it relates to the daily life of many people including myself.

The poem “The Soul Selects Her Own Society’ shows one’s resolute nature and conviction, and how it’s not swayed by any other external influence. This has me thinking if our choices or decisions had not been affected by other’s expectations, pressures, or powers, seeking our individuality and self-worth would have been far easier.

Hello everyone, I’m Palsang Syangbo and I’m 19 years old. I’m majoring in computer technology; this is my first semester at LaGuardia community college, and I have been enjoying it so far.
